The Falcon-RX plays a key role in supporting 5G networks. It provides fast data transport, minimal delay, and accurate timing, which are all needed for reliable 5G performance in telecom systems as well as business environments.

This solution brings together advanced transport features and precise synchronization in one platform. Both are important for modern 5G fronthaul setups, and the Falcon-RX is also designed to work smoothly with the latest O-RAN standards.

  • The Falcon-RX system delivers a complete set of timing features. It supports GNSS-based PTP in GM, BC, TC, and OC modes, achieving sub-nanosecond accuracy with Class C and D compliance. Robust SyncE support and additional sync interfaces are centrally managed through Fibrolan’s SyncCenter platform.
  • This series is built with 20 SFP+/SFP28 ports. Users can configure them flexibly to reach an aggregate throughput of up to 200 Gbps full duplex, with a total switching capacity of 400 Gbps. Every port runs at wire speed and supports any packet size, including jumbo frames.
  • The system integrates advanced Quality of Service features. Traffic mapping is done by checking details from the first four layers. It also supports port and queue policing, shaping, and highly adaptable scheduling methods to guarantee efficient performance.
  • Falcon-RX is also built to support Time Sensitive Networking. This makes it highly suitable for 5G fronthaul and demanding industrial environments such as smart factories, IIoT, and Industry 4.0 automation.
