The Cassini packet transponder enables operators to seamlessly expand metro and long-haul DWDM networks, adding new 100G capacity and extending inter-datacenter connectivity with Layer 3 services.
Cassini comes in a 1.5RU form factor, delivering 3.2 Tbps throughput powered by Broadcom StrataXGS™ Tomahawk™ Plus silicon. It provides sixteen fixed 100G QSFP28 ports and eight modular linecard slots for a flexible mix of 200GbE or coherent DCO optical ports, leveraging DSP and transceivers from leading optical partners.
This open network switch includes ONIE for easy deployment of compatible NOS software, such as Open Network Linux and other commercial solutions. Cassini supports Ethernet and optical line cards with MACsec encryption, ensuring secure connectivity across client, metro, and wide-area links.
